Dear English-speaking parents,
I'm facilitating an Elterntalk in English this July 2026. If you're interested in joining, I'd be delighted to hear from you!
What is Elterntalk? 👨👩👧👦
Elterntalk is a discussion group for parents with children aged 0–14 years. It is a prevention initiative that focuses on everyday family life. Rather than a lecture, it offers a relaxed space where parents can exchange ideas, ask questions, and learn from one another.
Topics include:
📺TV, YouTube, and streaming
📱Smartphones and the internet
🎮Digital games
➕️Other parenting and media-related topics (with more topics being added over time)
The conversations are facilitated by trained moderators who are parents themselves, creating a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where everyone can share experiences and practical ideas.
The project is run by Aktion Jugendschutz Baden-Württemberg (ajs) and funded by the Stiftung Kinderland Baden-Württemberg and the State of Baden-Württemberg. Its goal is to empower parents to support and protect their children, strengthen their confidence in navigating today's media landscape, and provide practical support for everyday parenting in line with the principles of child and youth protection.

Elterntalk startet jetzt auch in St. Georgen
Wie viel Bildschirmzeit ist sinnvoll? Wann ist mein Kind bereit für ein 📱 Smartphone? Und wie gehe ich mit digitalen Spielen um?
Bei Elterntalk Baden-Württemberg können sich Eltern von Kindern zwischen 0 und 14 Jahren in entspannter Atmosphäre über Erziehungs- und Medienfragen austauschen. Die Gesprächsrunden werden von geschulten Eltern moderiert, finden privat, wertschätzend und ohne Belehrung statt – auf Wunsch auch in verschiedenen Sprachen. ☺
👉 Ziel ist es, Eltern in ihrem Erziehungsalltag zu stärken, Orientierung zu geben und mehr Sicherheit im Umgang mit den Herausforderungen der Medienerziehung zu schaffen.
